TRICHY EXHIBITION

(2014)

An exhibition that was a part of a lecture series instituted by C.A.R.E School of Architecture, Trichy looking at context, climate and culture as an integral part of all design initiatives.

Trichy Exhibition

The Centre for Applied Research and Education (C.A.R.E) in Trichy, invited Mr. Aniket Bhagwat to talk about architecture.

He chose to approach this task in a manner that had a more long-lasting impact. Along with the lecture – Spelt in Black and White – This Is It - the models, sketches, and drawings that were created as part of the exhibition titled ‘24 Intersessions’ looked at various facets of architecture in India. It addressed the idea of building and practicing in India. The models made the ideas presented during the lecture more tangible, and approachable.

24 projects were showcased as a part of the exhibition. Much like the other exhibitions, this too was designed as a tool of learning for students.

Some of these models continue to be used by the students of the school as a tool for study. This group lecture series has now become something of a tradition for the school of architecture.
